Embossing on dark cardstock

Hello and Wow!!  It sure has been awhile since I have been here.  This place is soooooooooooooo busy that we have been out and about almost every day.  Just haven't been able to get back into the routine.  Now that we are playing golf 3-4 times a week, I think it is the perfect opportunity for me to do my blogging when my hubby is doing his golfing thing.
Today I made an anniversary card using a technique somewhat like one over on split coast stampers. This is embossing and coloring on dark cardstock.  Not a new technique but one I haven't used in a while.
Check out the cards.

All cardstock from recolections
Stamps from Stampin Up
Versamark and gold embossing powder
Pencils are crayola
A2 size card
I am pleased with the way they came out.
Check out the video.  I am not satisfied with the camera angle since I moved but I will work it out
That's all for now......................play nice

Pink and Black Anniversary card - Paper Cutz Challenge #95

Hi everyone:  Today I am showing you an anniversary card that I just finished for my Nephew and his wife.  Thought I would make something for the Paper Cutz challenge this week.  Any project you would like but you must use pink, black, and white.  This was really a make as you go card as I just kept playing around with it till it felt right.  I think it came out just fine.
What do you think?

The card is A2.  DSP is from DCWV Stack 6 that I have had for a long time but it is one of the few packs I have with black patterned paper.  Pink cardstock from Stampin Up.
Pink Mat 5.25 x 4
Black stripe mat 5 x 3.75
Cut out pattern from dsp and mounted it on pink cardstock
Flower from my stash- think it is Kand Co.
Hope you like it,
I will be back shortly with another card and video as soon as it finishes uploading
See you later......play nice

So Saturday Challenge #4

Good beautiful Sunday morning.  At my last craft show I was asked for some anniversary cards.  My stash of those is very small so I thought I would make some up.  The first one I am submitting to So Saturday Challenge #4.  Anything that shines.  I like the way this came together.  What do you think?

Recipe
A2 white card
Black and White layers cut at 4 x 2 1/8
Both layers embossed with cuttlebug folder
Hearts cut at 2 inches from Lacy Labels
Flowers are a punch from Picture punch
I added scolloped ribbon to the brides bodice with 1/4 in organdy ribbon
Blinged them up.
Sentiment is an old stamp of my that is nameless.
The red flower is quilling.
All of the raised areas of the card are stickled but it doesn't show up well in the photo.  I love the technique with the hearts.  Dawn over at dawnsstampingthoughts has a video on these if you don't  know how.
