Thank you card using a bleached background

Good monday to everyone
Hope your week is starting off great.  It is so hot here that I am staying inside to play with paper.  I thought I would try some bleaching on my dark cardstock scraps.  I think the results are great.  I then put together a thank you card using one of the bleach backgrounds.  Love it.  What do you think?

Card Recipe:
White cardstock from Wallmart. A2
Blue recolections cut at 4 x 5 1/4
Ribbon from stash
stamps from stampin up
I love the way it came out.  Will have to make a few more.

Thats all for now
See you later.....................play nice

Thinking of you card with tie dyed butterfly

Good Friday afternoon everyone
Don't you just love to try different techniques?  Gina K over at stamp tv showed this tie dye technique this week and I just had to try it.  Click HERE if you want to see her tutorial.  I am entering this card into this weeks paper cutz challenge which is anything goes.  I got the shaped card by welding two frame shapes on Home Accents cartridge.  Boy I haven't used that in almost forever.  The shape is Key 28 blackout.
I like the way it came out.  The sentiment is general enough for a sympathy, get well or hello card.  What do you think?

Making Cards with Scraps

Hi everyone
Today I made a card for the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. You can see that blog HERE  The challenge is to use your scraps. DO I HAVE SCRAPS. I must say that I heard one great tip. I think it was from Karen, one of the design team. Cut your dsp or at least some of it mat size. The usual size you use. It is easier to store and you will grab it more often. Most of my dsp mats are 5x3 3/4 so I am definitly going to cut some of my paper. I love the way the card came out. What do you think?

Ice Cream Birthday Card with Smiley Cartridge

Hi everyone
Today's card uses the Smiley Card Cartridge.  The last few days I have been stamping and my cricut was MAD!! So today I made a couple of cards using Smiley Card.  I am entering them in two challenges.  Birthday Sundaes has an anything goes week and over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge me Monday #69 you need to use something ice cream like.  YUM!  I think this card covers it all.  I also made another one and you can see both pictures, but card one is the entry.  I have a video coming up but I forgot to tell you that I cut the ice cream cone at 3.59 using my gypsy and hid the smiley face.

Hope you like it.  Used lots of fun tools. Check out the video

Teddy Bear Get Well Card with Martha Stewart Punch around the page

Hi everyone:
Just a short post to share a card I just finnished for my sister who is having a total knee replacement on Wednesday.  Had a 40% off coupon for any Martha Stewart product so I had to get a set of the punch around the page punches.  Only ruined one piece of paper learning how to use it.  Woo Hoo!! This is really too big for mailing but for my sister I will put it in a bubble envelope and hope for the best.  I think it came out great even if I do say so myself.  No video today,,,,,,,I'm not making that again!!!!!

All the flowers and bling came from the Michael's dollar bin.
Paper from K and Company Amy Butler series
Stamp from Stampin Up Circa 1995
The teddy didn't have flowers in his hand so I stamped part of a bunch and created a stem.
Outside frame cut from 6.75 square.
Inside card is approx 5..75 square which fits right inside the punched frame.
It doesn't show in the picture but all the filigree on the paper has been glittered with glue pen and glitter.
As I said this is bigger that I usually make so I will have to figure out measurements to make a smaller version
Anyway lots of fun.
See you later.....................play nice.

Cricut Wild Card and Flowersoft Birthday

Good Friday afternoon everyone
Today's card is for the Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time. The challenge is to use Wild Card or Just Because Cricut Cart.  Include some embossing. I used the Wild card cartridge along with some stamping and Flowersoft.  I haven't used my Flowersoft since last Christmas and it was kinda fun.  I also promised on the video to share a couple of pictures of my stamp storage, so they are included at the end of the post.  Hope you like the card.  The directions are on the video.

I think it came out super cute.

Here are the pictures of my stamp storage.  I am using the double closet in the quest room/craft room.  My husband made me the shelves.  They only extend out 6 inches so company can still use the closed rod for hanging.  As this is our second guest room equipped with a Murphy bed, it is not used very often.  Pretty cool huh?

Guess that's all for now.  See you later...........play nice

Hi All

Hi everyone,  I have not gone AWOL, but since I got back from Ohio I have been working on an album for my sister Janet and her husband who celebrated their 50th anniversary June 10th.  They are planning a trip to Australia in October so this album will be for their trip.  Need to get started with my Christmas cards etc.  This album is a somewhat replica from Paper phenomenon.  Love the Ustreams.  Have only watched  recorded so far but I hope to go live for the next one.  Thanks Kathy for the great tutorial.  Pictures tomorrow.
