Congratulations on your new home card

Hi everyone.  Today's card is a congratulations on your new home card.  I used Cricut Design Space for the images and paper from a 6x6 colorbox pad called Hootenanny. I think the card came out cute and now that the design is saved, I will make a few more.  It is not a card I need that often so I don't have any in my stash.
The card is A2 size.  The blue cardstock (recolections) is cut 1/8 smaller and the designer paper another 1/8 inch smaller.  The measurements for the images are a little odd as I sized them in design space.  Birdhouse 1.89, Birds 3,15 and the circles are 3.74 and 3,16.

Baby Boy Mini Album

Hi Everyone.  It seems that I never get to blogging even though I am crafting.  I am going to make a resolution today to hit the blog scene at least once a week through the rest of the year.  Hopefully that will get me back in the groove.  I am including some pictures and the video of a cute baby album I just finished for one of the folks that work in our community (+55 Manufactured Home Community).  I can tell you that it is sure starting to get busy here is Florida.  The days must be getting colder up north.  I used a paper stack from Hobby Lobby called Little Safari by the paper studio. Cute, Cute, Cute.
The album is 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 and you could mat with 6x6 without cutting.  I was using a 12x12 so I have lots of paper left for another book or two.
I have to let you all know that I recently got a cricut explore air and I am having lots of fun learning everything it can do.  I am LOVING design space.  What a great way to plan your projects.  I also have a Cricut expression and a gypsy so working is design space is not too difficult.  One thing I am really new at is cutting vinyl.  Lots to learn there.
Here are the pictures of the mini album and the video.  Enjoy.

FIRST ATTEMPTS WITH MY NEW EXPLORE

Hi again
Here are two cards that I made using the Cricut explore.  The first is similar to a card I saw on Pintrest (can't find it now to give credit) so it is not my original idea.  I used the explore and cut the layers as well as slicing the leaves for the background to peek through.  I want to give a big thank you to Melody Lane on YouTube who gave the best description of how to use the slice feature.  I am still messing up sometimes but I now know the basics.
The pink cardstock is from Tuesday Morning and the white cardstock  is the Walmart brand. I love the satin ribbon, and the butterfly was cut from my cricut explore.  I did find the original and you can see it on Pintrest if you search for beautiful cards.
The second card is another sliced card. This time I sliced a circle and had the explore write in the opening.  The cupcake and balloons are also from Cricut design space.  I just found out that if you hover over the image it will tell you what cartridge it comes from so I will include this in future postings.  This is all new to me.
I really love the way this came out.  I used foam tape on the layers to add some dimension.  Recollections card stock and white from Walmart. Just added some faux stitching around the circle.  Such fun!!!  When I can figure out how to show my computer screen I will do some videos on the construction of some cards.
Well that's all for now.  Hope you like the cards.  Again thanks to Melody Lane.  She has some great explore tutorials.
See you soon

Week 1 project. Revisiting

Hi all,
Well I thought I would be getting back in the groove, but my internet connection was giving me fits!!! It took 3 hours to upload my video in February.  Soooooooooooooo, now that I have changed carriers I am giving it another try.
This fist post highlights my week 1 project review. Revisiting some "old time" projects we may have forgotten about that would make good Christmas gifts or other gift occasions.  Remember the card holder?  Not just for cards as I discuss and really easy to make.  Here are the videos.

Hope you enjoy.  Will be back later with two of my first attempts with my NEW CRICUT EXPLORE!!!!YAY!

See you later
