Paper Playtime Challenge # 48

Hi everyone:  Today's card is a Z fold card I made for the Paper Playtime Challenge # 48.  I have made Z fold cards before but I had never made one with a fancy edge (scallops).  I saw a tutorial where the edge was made by inserting a 12 inch decorative edge strip in between two card blanks.  This works fine but I had this heavy weight dsp from K and Co.  that was two sided.  This allows you to create edge without making two cards.  I am super pleased by the results.  Check it out.

As mentioned, the paper is from K and Co.  I cut a scalloped circle with my cuttlebug and embellished this with a medallion made from the same dsp.  Cardstock from recollectons.  Ribbon from Michaels.
I originally cut the card at 5 3/4 inches on the high side and 4 1/2 inches on the short side.  This allows for the edge punch to shorten the card to A2 size.  The card was then scored at 3 1/4 and 7 inches and folded.  Note that the edges do not meet.   This makes the card much more demensional in my estimation.  I also have this card opening left because I tried the folds both ways and wanted the printed side on the front.  Lots of fun.
Back tomorrow with a new video.
See you later.........................play nice.

  6. This is gorgeous. When I made my card like this it is a bit bulky. Good to know that the double sided paper lessens this. Thanks for playing along with us at Paper Playtime this week.
